Ingredients for 6 servings


Genauva dark chocolate gems

3 tangerines

1 star anise

0.8in (2cm) ginger in slices

½ lemon juice

4 tsp (0.7fl oz/20ml) Grand Marnier

3 cups (26.5fl oz/750ml) water

1 cup (8oz/200g) sugar

Ice cream

Mint leaf

Start 2 hours before serving (can also be done the day before)

  • Peel the tangerines and keep the zest of one of them
  • Bring water to the boil with the sugar, lemon juice, zest of 1tangerine, ginger and star anise
  • Boil for 10 minutes
  • Take away from the stove add the tangerine divided in parts and set aside
  • After cooling put into the fridge for at least 2 hours
  • Use nice bowls to serve, add the tangerine, a few spoons of the soup, add some Grand Marnier and 1 scoop of ice cream
  • Drizzle some melted dark chocolate on top with a spoon
  • Decorate with mint leaf
