Ingredients

1 vanilla pod

1/2 Cup (3.5oz/85g) Genauva dark chocolate gems

1 Cup + 2 tbsp (8.5oz/225g) butter

1 1/3 Cup (6oz/160g) flour

1tbsp baking powder

1 pinch of salt

5 eggs

8 tbsp Amaretto liquor

Icing sugar

For decorating:

Berries

Mint leafs

Decoration

  • With this recipe is all in dressing the plate
  • Dust some icing sugar over the cupcakes and decorate with mint leaf
  • Melt some Genauva dark chocolate gemsTM with cream or milk until you have a liquid sauce.
  • Use a squeeze bottle or a new paint brush to draw a Christmas tree on the plate, draw a star on top.
  • Decorate with blueberries, raspberries and mint leafs and blackberries for Christmas balls and twigs.
  • Dust a bit of icing sugar over the tree and fruit (like snow)

Christmas muffins with amaretto

Preparation

  • Pre-heat the oven 350°F (180°C) and prepare a muffin tin with paper cups
  • Split the vanilla pod and keep the seeds
  • Melt the chocolate with the butter in a double sauce pan
  • Add flour and baking powder and mix well
  • Beat sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla seeds until white and creamy
  • Add the flour mix and stir until well combined
  • Spoon the batter into the paper cups
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes
  • Take out of the oven and Let them rest for 5 minutes
  • Drizzle the Amaretto liquor over the hot cupcakes and let cool on a wire rack
