4 Organic oranges

2 cups (17.5fl oz /500ml) water

2 ½ cup (17.5oz/500g) sugar

cup (4oz/100g) Genauva extra dark chocolate gems

Dipped orange slices

Candied orange slices


  • Wash  and dry the oranges
  • Cut into 0.2in (0.5cm) slices
  • Heat water in a pan and poach during 1 minute (to get rid of the bitterness)
  • drain the oranges
  • Boil the water with the sugar and add the orange slices
  • Simmer for 40 min, stir gently from time to time
  • Let cool in the syrup
  • Spread the slices on a wire rack and let them dry for at least 24 h, turn them from time to time`
  • Melt and temper the chocolate and dip the slices
  • Let dry on a wire rack
