Ingredients per serving

8 cup (2.2lb/1kg) white bread flour

2 tbsp (0.7oz/20g) dry yeast

2 ⅓ cup (19.7fl oz/560ml) water

2 tbsp (1.2oz/32g) butter

3 tsp (0.7oz/20g) salt

1 cup (7oz/160g) Genauva dark chocolate

1 cup (7oz/160g) peeled hazelnuts

Springform 9in (24cm)

Preparation

Step 1

  • Put the hazelnuts in a plastic bag and  crush them with the rolling pin
  • Mix the flour, yeast, water, butter and salt in the bread machine or by hand during 20 minutes (or with the standing mixer during 10 minutes)
  • Cover the dough with plastic foil and let it rise during 20 minutes at room temperature

Step 2

  • Flatten the dough.
  • Knead the chocolate drops and crushed hazelnuts into the dough
  • Make a big ball
  • Cover with plastic foil and let it rest for 15 minutes

Step 3

  • Devide the dough in 8 little balls (about 2.1oz/60g each)
  • Grease the springform
  • Put 1 ball in the middle and the other ones around
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel
  • Let rise again for 30 minutes  

Step 4

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C/400°F/Gas 6
  • Mix the egg and brush the balls
  • Bake during 20 minutes
