Ingredients for 12 servings

½ cup + 1 tbsp (4.5oz/120g) butter at room temperature

1 cup (5.5oz/150g) Genauva milk chocolate gems

¾ cup (5.5oz/150g) sugar

3 eggs

1 package vanilla sugar

Freshly grated organic lemon zest or orange zest

1 ⅓ cup (8oz/200g) self-rising flour

¼ cup (3.5fl oz/100ml) milk

  • Knead the fondant with your hands until it is soft
  • Roll out the fondant sugar to 0.1 in (2mm), don’t make it to thick
  • Keep on working because the fondant dries and will become harder, it might tear if you wait too long
  • You can color the fondant yourself or buy colored fondant
  • There are a lot of kitchen tools that give nice results: a garlic press makes nice grass or hair, a fork gives nice imprints, …
  • Use your imagination for decoration, on the picture you get some ideas

  • Pre-heat the oven at 325°F (170°C)
  • Prepare the cupcake tin with paper cups
  • In a large bowl beat butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla sugar and zest until fluffy
  • Add the flour and add the milk bit by bit while mixing
  • Spoon the batter into the paper cups until half
  • Add Genauva milk chocolate gems in the middle of the cup and fill up with the batter until ¾ of the paper cup
  • Bake for 25 minutes
