Belgian waffles

  • 3 ½ cup 17.5oz (500g) self rising flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup + ⅓ cup (6oz/175g) sugar
  • 1 cup (9fl oz ¼l) milk
  • 1 cup (9l oz ¼l) sparkling water
  • 2 ¼ cup (9oz 250g) butter

Preparation

  • Mix flour and sugar
  • Melt the butter and add the water and milk
  • Make a hole in the middle of the flour and add the egg yolks
  • Pour the fluid into the whole
  • Mix until smooth
  • Whisk the egg whites until stiff and spoon into the batter
  • Melt the chocolate with the cream in a double sauce pan
  • Add Curaçao blue
  • Peel the oranges, remove white skin
  • Cut into thin slices
  • Bake the waffles, pour some chocolate sauce on top of the waffle, put a slice of orange on the waffle, put another waffle on top
