Today, kids are snacking more than ever. Children need snacks to keep their energy up, to make up for a meager breakfast, for extra calories and fuel for after school sports and other activities.   Notably, snacks can be filled with unwholesome ingredients like artificial fillers, excess sugars and unhealthy fats.

Even so, snack foods can be good for children even when coated with a kid’s favorite such as chocolate. In fact, kids are more apt to eat snacks that are chocolate covered since it appeals to their sweet tooth. 

Which Means

even snacks made with chocolate can be healthy. Favorite kid’s snacks include grilled banana smores, energy bars with chocolate and peanut butter and portable homemade trail mix with chocolate bits. Other best picks for kids are frozen bananas dipped in chocolate, chocolate and peanut butter dipped apples or graham crackers topped with banana slices, yogurt, dried fruit and mini chocolate pieces.
