Sweet Breads

Sweet breads can encompass a variety of desserts and foods.  Sweet breads also go by other names such as coffee bread, buns and pan dulce. As well, they can refer to breads that are sweet in flavor and cake like. These types of breads include Chelsea buns, lardy cake, Babka and Bath buns.  Many of these cake-like sweet breads are similar to tea cake. There are also special versions of sweet bread such as cardamom bread and cinnamon rolls. In addition, some sweet breads contain chocolate such as Babka drizzled with chocolate, Dampfnudel filled with chocolate custard, Chocolate banana bread and many others.
